We are a remote-friendly team. Because our team is distributed, some of our wellness benefits may be provided in different ways. What we offer in the US may not be the same in Europe but we always strive for parity. Additionally, we take employee satisfaction seriously and provide industry-leading perks and compensation. 🤑 Top 10% Salaries: We monitor and evaluate industry salaries annually (or immediately following a funding round) to ensure we’re paying in the top 10% based on skills and experience. Salaries are standardized based on San Francisco rates and are location-agnostic.

🦷 Medical, Dental, Ortho and Vision Insurance - US Only: OP Labs PBC offers a variety of health and dental plans. Optimism pays 100% of the base plan for employees and dependents including Medical, Dental and Vision. For more info see here.

💵 Flexible Spending Account (FSA) - US Only: An FSA is an account where you can set aside pre-tax money for out-of-pocket medical or dependent care expenses such as prescriptions, OTC medicine, vision care, childcare, etc. Every year you decide up front how much money you want to put in the account (the max is $3,200 for Medical Care and $5000 Dependent Care.)

💰 401k Retirement Plan - US FTE Only: OP Labs PBC offers 100% match for the first 4% of what you contribute to the plan via Guideline.

⛑️ Life & Disability Insurance - US Only: OP Labs PBC offers 100% coverage for Short & Long Term Disability Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance, and Life & Supplemental Life Insurance.

🏋️‍♂️ Physical Health Stipend: To promote physical health and well-being we offer $2,000/annually that can be used for gym memberships, classes, wearable devices, ski passes, fitness equipment, mindfulness and meditation workshops, etc.

🌞 Therapy Sessions - US Only: You can schedule 12 free live therapy video visits each year through TalkSpace. You can also send unlimited text, voice, and video messages between visits.

🍼 Paid Parental Leave: When you welcome a new child, OP Labs PBC encourages you to take up to 12 weeks of parental leave, at 100% paid salary.

🐣 Fertility & Family Building - US Only: People of all genders can go to Kindbody for services from preconception to postpartum, as well as support for surrogacy, donor services, adoption, fertility testing, IUI, IVF, sperm banking, egg freezing, embryo banking, annual storage, and genetic testing. Employees receive 20% all services not covered by insurance through Kindbody.\

💸 Crypto Tax Professionals: When you work in crypto, navigating your taxes can be....complicated. That’s why after you’ve worked for OP Labs PBC for one year, we will cover employee personal tax filings—we use the best crypto tax firms in the US. If you are outside of the US, we’ll cover a similar service for up to $3,000 USD per year.

🔋 Recharge Weeks: We offer two recharge weeks annually. During these weeks (roughly the first week of July and the last week of December), the company shuts down so Optimists can disconnect from work and recharge without emails and Slack messages piling up.

🏝️ Vacations and Paid Holidays: OP Labs PBC offers a flexible time-off policy and we actually encourage people to use it. Some notable trips employees have taken thus far include a weeklong ski trip to Colorado, a trip to Hawaii, and a camping trip to Joshua tree! We also observe all federal US holidays and allow those not based in the US to choose that schedule or a floating schedule based on their preference.

⏰ Sabbatical Program: After three years with the company, employees are encouraged to take a month off, with pay, to rest and recharge.
