Welcome 🔴✨

Sup Nerds!

If you’re reading this manual, your project supported the development and usage of the OP Stack and we love you for it! ❤️

This document is your guide to participating in RetroPGF 2.

You are likely already familiar with the context around OP’s RetroPGF experiments. If you’d like a refresher, please read through our recent RetroPGF Round 2 announcement post or visit our governance documentation.

We are excited for the opportunity to reward projects for the contributions they made to the OP stack and continue the journey towards sustainable funding for OSS public goods 🔴✨

📌 The Basics

RetroPGF 2 consists of several phases. Your primary responsibility is in Step 2. Project Nominations.

1. Badgeholder distribution

From Dec 3 → Jan 25, Voting Badges for RetroPGF 2 will be distributed to a set of 90 community members.

2. Project Nominations

From Jan 17 → Jan 31, any community member can nominate a project for RetroPGF by posting on the Optimism Governance Forum. Nominated projects must fill in an application form in order to be eligible for voting.

You are welcome to nominate your own project or others. You’re also welcome to engage in public discussion on the types of nominations you’d like to see in the dedicated Discord channel.
